Ash Ketchum: Difference between revisions

So Ash and Misty continue on alone, but their team is replenished when the Pokémon observer [[Tracey Sketchit|Tracey]] joins them. A short time later, Ash catches a Lapras, which the friends use to travel from island to island. On a grapefruit island, a Snorlax is busy eating all the fruit, and with much effort, Ash manages to catch this Pokémon as well.

After collecting all four Orange Islands Badges, Ash arrives on Pummelo Island, where he faces the Orange League Champion, Drake. Ash wins the 6-on-6 match with great effort, earning him a place in the Hall of Fame. He used his Pokémon Pikachu, Squirtle, Tauros, Lapras, Bulbasaur, and Charizard. Ash gained the trust of the latter during their journey through the Orange Archipelago, which finally causes Charizard to obey him.

In the episode ''[[The Flame of Ho-Oh]]'', the [[Silver Conference] finally begins. In ''[[Old Rivals]]'' and the following episode, he finally defeats his old rival Gary. However, he ultimately loses to his new friend Harrison in ''Time of Goodbye. After coming to terms with their defeat, Ash, Misty, and Brock part ways, as both Gym Leaders must return to their respective Gyms. Ash returns to Pallet Town and decides to go to Hoenn, as he learned about the region from Harrison and wants to explore it with his own eyes. He also decides to start from scratch and therefore only takes Pikachu with him.
