Template:Main/usage

Template to link to the main article that covers a topic in more detail. It's often used at the beginning of a section of an article that covers a topic that already has a more extensive article.

Usage:

{{Main|Main article|(optional) Alternate text}}

The first parameter will be the title of the article to link to. The second parameter is optional: if entered, it will be the text that appears before the article link. If not entered, it will be the text "Main article:".

Main article: Display a prominent link to an article that expands on the information in a section of a page.
