Redd returns to the peddler business in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. He sets up his shop, Redd's Gallery, in the plaza on a random day of the week. He specializes in the art department, selling only paintings and the newly added statues. Unlike statues, some paintings are always genuine, but most are likely fakes. However, fakes now have noticeable aesthetic differences from the real thing, so they are not based on luck. Fake versions of normal items are a separate collectible. His shop operates on a "one per day" policy, where he only allows customers to purchase one item per day. To prevent loopholes, any item purchased from Redd's Gallery in one town counts in all others, thus ensuring that only one player can buy one item from him each day. He also sends purchases to the player's mailbox the next day, rather than making purchases directly to the player (marking an acquired piece of art with a special note). He also appears on New Year's Eve and the Fireworks Show in the plaza, where he sells hats for 300 bells on the former and fortune cookies for 500 bells on the latter.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Although initially absent in New Horizons Redd is added in the 1.2. 0 update along with the museum art gallery. In this installment, Redd docks on the player's island in a small boat called the Ladino's Traveling Vessel on the small "secret" beach on the northern shore of the island. Similar to his other appearances, Ladino sells artwork of dubious provenance along with other items.
On Redd's first visit, Isabelle will announce Redd's arrival on the island. During this visit, although the Traveling Vessel will be docked on the small northern beach of the player, it will be closed and Ladino will be found wandering the player's island. Upon speaking to him, he will introduce himself and give the player a painting, first attempting to sell it for 498,000 berries, but then realizing they should probably offer a "discount" and giving them a more reasonable price. This first painting will always be genuine, and when the player shows it to Socrates, he will accept the donation and be able to expand the museum to include the art gallery, resulting in the museum being closed for construction the next day. When the museum is expanded, Rascal will make his second visit and will be outside the neighborhood management office. When spoken to, he will mention that he is very interested in it and loves the island. He will then return to his boat, and Isabelle will announce each time Rascal visits the island.
Other Appearances
Gekijōban Doubutsu no Mori
Ladino appears in Gekijōban Doubutsu no Mori, where he tricks Yu and Kaiman into buying a fake golden slingshot during the fireworks show, for which he charges them 3,500 Bells. Redd insists that the golden slingshot is one of a kind, while in fact he had a case full of them in his shop.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Redd makes a cameo in Super Smash Bros. Brawl as a trophy and as a spectator in Smash Town. The trophy's description is as follows:
"The owner of the Redd Emporium sells furniture acquired on the black market. He is said to be well-known in the underworld. Once a week, he sets up shop across the street from City Hall. There you will find rare items at exorbitant prices. It's open until midnight, an hour later than Tom Nook's Shop: this pleases those who play at night.
Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U
Redd appears as a trophy and as a spectator in Smash Town. However, while the trophies for both versions have the same design and description, a challenge is required to unlock him in the 3DS version. The trophy description is as follows:
The owner of an exquisite art gallery. He often sells the shop to the customer by claiming that each painting is a valuable one-of-a-kind. But be careful! There are often fake paintings mixed in with genuine masterpieces. You'll have to pay close attention... Whether or not it's his intention, Redd's business is a bit shady.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Redd appears as one of the game's Spirits. He is a support Spirit.
