In [[Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire]], there is a special and exclusive variety of Pikachu called [[Coquette Pikachu]], which has a characteristic black heart at the end of its tail. It can be obtained after participating in the first [[Pokémon Contest]]. It is always female and has the ability [[Lightning Rod]].
If the Pikachu is male, it will receive the Rocker Pikachu, and if female, the Superstar Pikachu. However, outfits can be changed later in the dressing room, along with the special move they can learn. The Coquette Pikachu is unable to evolve into Raichu and also cannot breed.
